What Are the Benefits of the OBEDIA Affiliate Program?
- OBEDIA deals with your customer’s technical needs and lightens your support load
- You earn a 10% commission for every customer you refer to OBEDIA who registers and purchases an OBEDIA Service Pack.
- You can showcase you, your company, and your products or services via a link to your Web site from our Affiliate Partner page.
How Do I Earn Commissions as an Affiliate?
When your referred customer purchases an OBEDIA Consultation from our site, a record of that transaction will be posted to your Affiliate Control Panel. You have 24/7 access to your Control Panel to review purchases made by customers referred from your site.
A check will be sent to you in the first week of every month for the preceding month’s commission. Please note that if a customer is refunded for any reason, the commission for that sale will be deducted during the next payment cycle. You can choose to have your payments made by check or via PayPal in U.S.D.
How Soon Will I Start Earning Commissions?
Referral commissions begin accruing immediately upon acceptance of your application and the establishment of your OBEDIA landing page.
Why Does my Membership Have To Be Approved?
You may remember the famous Groucho Marx line “I’d never join any club that would have me for a member.” At OBEDIA, we’re serious about providing our customers with the finest technical training and support available. Naturally, we want to make sure that our Affiliates are equally committed to excellence. So we set out some guidelines for acceptance into the program.
First, you or your company has to be directly related to music or audio content creation. Examples include:
- Artist/Musician
- Recording Engineer/Producer
- Music Software/Hardware Manufacturer or Distributor
- Music or Audio Production Facility
- Music or Audio Community Web Site
- Music or Audio Educational or Training Facility
- Video Game/Film/Video Production House
Second, as an Affiliate, your customer’s contact with OBEDIA is via your Web site. As such, your site must not violate intellectual property rights, and must not promote sexually explicit materials, violence, illegal activities, or any discrimination, including discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age.
If your Web site meets these two sets of criteria you have a good chance of being approved.
What If I’m Based Outside of the U.S.?
You do not have to reside in the U.S. to become an OBEDIA Affiliate. As long as you can accept your referral commissions in U.S.D via check or PayPal, and you meet the approval criteria (above), we would be glad to have you on board.
Can I Link to OBEDIA From More Than One Site?
Yes. If you operate multiple sites all you have to do is complete a separate application for each site. Each application will be reviewed independently on its merits.
